This recipe for these lovely soft, chewey and chocolatey classic chocolate chip cookies makes about 9 medium sized chocolate chip cookies. Yum!
Preheat oven at 325 F or 160 C.
In a bowl mix (you can use an electric whisk):
3/4 cup melted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
A dash of vanilla extract
On low speed mix in 1 egg yolk & 1 egg, just until combined (do not over mix).
Sift in the dry ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Once the dough is starting to come together and peels from the sides mix in the last ingredient, 1 & 1/2 cup chocolate chunks that you have roughly chopped (or chocolate chips).
Scoop on the dough with a cookie dough scooper on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or roll into 9 balls.
Place in oven for approx. 10 mins or until golden.
